You don't need to stick to just the styles here - you can invent new styles of horn/ear/tail as long as they fit under the limitations of the rarity level for the trait spell you have. Message a mod or ask us in #help to check your idea. Please note that any new invented styles are able to be used by anyone else.

You can use any different styles of fur on traits (curly vs straight, for example) Hairstyles and non-magical accessories are able to be freely added to your character.

Horns

You don't have to stick to just the styles below - horns can be any style as long as they fit within the general size of the rarity tier you have a trait spell for. Small ridges and bumps can be added to any horn style. Representational or shaped horns (no matter the size) are Enchanted, and other specific styles, such as uni and joined, are legendary.

Common are generally small horns and Uncommon are medium horns.
Picture
Rare are generally Large horns.
Quartet must be joined at the base and cannot be 4 separate horns.

Picture
Enchanted horns are representational shapes like star, heart, etc as well as pattern and floret horn effects. (Floret and pattern horns are considered horn effect traits, and come with a rare horn style upgrade. Read more below)

Legendary horns include horns from unicorn, capricorn, dragon, and royal set, as well as any style of joined horns, called corona.

Runic Effects

A pouflon or vespire's Runic color denotes the most magical areas of their body. This is mainly their horns, eyes, hooves, and sometimes other areas the runic color appears on the body.
Runic effect traits can apply to some or all of these areas.
Horn Effect traits apply to just the horns.

✦ When purchased, all runic & horn effects traits come with a style upgrade- so you can pick any common, uncommon, or rare horn style to change to. (enchanted & up must be obtained separately)

✦ Runic Effects can be combined.

Enchanted Effects

Pattern Runic -  Your pouflon can have patterns, gradients, or accents on their runic.
Sparkle Runic - Your pouflon's runic glitters and sparkles.
Holo Runic - Your pouflon's runic shows an iridescent, changing sheen.
Metallic Runic - Your pouflon's horns are made of a metal like gold, silver, bronze, etc.
Floret Horns - Enchanted flowers bloom from horns and coat. Any type of flower or a mix.
Split Runic - The runic can be two different colors. This will also give the pouflon heterochromia.

Legendary Effects

Crystal Runic - Gives their runic (horns, eyes, hooves, all runic areas) a sparkling crystaline, faceted effect. Different to geomancer affinity horns, as it cannot affect the outward horn style.
Affinity Horn - This single trait allows your pouflon's horns and/or hooves to display any affinity they have, singularly or in combination.
Glass Horn - Your pouflon's horns and/or hooves have been bespelled to be smooth & clear like glass and are fully or semi-transparent. They are not fragile like glass, however, and are as strong as any horns.
Vial horn - Your pouflon's horns are bespelled to be transparent and filled with something of your choice- glitter, petals, liquid, etc.

Affinity Horns

There are 10 individual affinity horn appearances for the 10 different affinities. They are not all pictured below. Please let us know if you have alternative ideas for the affinity appearances. Note that any official appearance designs can be used by anyone.

This primarily affects the horns but can effect the hooves as well.

Flamecaller - Horns aflame. These can be "switched on or off" and can smoke slightly in their off state.

Wings

All Pouflons have four wings, and can withdraw their wings using magic. When this happens, a little puff of magic dust appears from their fur, and they're left with four tufts of fur on their back instead of wings.

You can stylize your pouflon's wings and feathers how you like as long as they stay in their rarity level.

Legendary Traits & Lore

These traits are considered legendary in pouflon history and lore. Dragon, Capricorn and Unicorn are available as potions or amulets in the trait shop. (potions allow you to add 1 primary and 1 secondary trait.)

Legendary trait potions are also able to be applied to Vespires- take note of the rarity crossovers of the dragon traits, however.

Dragon Traits

Dragon pouflons are the offspring of a pouflon and a vespire. Since they have a hard time fitting in to pouflon society, they tend to live among the tolerant Vespires instead.
Primary traits of a Dragon pouflon:
  • Dragon wings
  • Dragon Tail
  • Sulfury, Spade, or Spiny Horns
Secondary traits include:
  • Slit pupils
  • Dragon Mouth (Fangs+forked tongue)
  • Scales, on the main body and underbelly
  • Spines that can run from the head to the tail

Capricorn Traits

Capricorn pouflons are able to switch between having a fish tail and four legs to their "true" form, which replaces their back legs with fins. This is a magical ability similar to every pouflon's ability to withdraw their wings.
The primary Capricorn traits:
  • A fish tail
  • Coral horns
  • Fin-like wings

Secondary traits include:
  • Fin-like ears
  • Tusks
  • Fin fetlocks
  • Gills on the neck
  • Scales anywhere on the body

Secondary traits include:
  • Feathered fetlocks (L)

Royal Traits

Pouflons with Royal/Spiral traits can trace their ancestry to the pennon of Torboullion, the current ruling family. Individuals with mixed ancestry always display at least one of the two Tourbillon traits, be it the curling horns or the spiraling tail. If your pouflon has curly traits, they can be canonically considered related to the royal family in some way.

The secondary traits of a royal pouflon are:
  • Pirouette Ears (E)
